Who is eligible to join the SEDPS?

The SEDPS is open to suppliers that operate on a not‑for‑profit or social enterprise basis. More than 100 suppliers across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales are currently members of the SEDPS.

To join, your organisation must meet the following criteria:

VCSE or not‑for‑profit

You must be a voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation - or any organisation with primarily social objectives at its core.

Goods and/or services provider

You must be able to supply goods or services under at least one of the 12 SEDPS categories.


Social impact mission

Your organisation must have a clear social mission and reinvest at least 51% of its surpluses to advance that mission rather than maximise profit for shareholders.


Ability to deliver across the UK

You should be able to deliver your chosen categories in any region of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales.


Demonstrated social value

You must be able to show how your organisation has contributed to the SEDPS objectives already and demonstrate a commitment to supporting the SEDPS social value objectives going forward.


Eligible organisation type

You may join as a company, organisation, consortium or joint venture - as long as you meet the above eligibility requirements.
