National Highways welcomes Secretary of State on site visit to celebrate next phase of major A417 scheme

M48 Severn Bridge weight restriction

On 27 May 2025 we introduced a 7.5t weight restriction for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) on the M48 Severn Bridge. It will last for an estimated 12 to 18 months.
