Boston Dynamics’ robot dog Spot is helping us with pioneering survey work. Together with ground engineering specialists Aecom and BAM Ritchies, we're trialling Spot across a number of South West locations.

A breathtaking Devon view featuring a historic two-arched bridge has been preserved for years to come thanks to National Highways’ Historical Railways Estate (HRE).

Rather than wait for faults to appear, we plan regular maintenance overnight on specific dates. This helps us keep the road in good condition with less impact on drivers.
