    Resurfacing work starts soon

We need to resurface M4 eastbound carriageway between junction 13 Chieveley Interchange and junction 12 Theale Interchange, near Reading, West Berkshire.

We'll work 9pm to 6am on various weekdays between June and September.

For safety, we'll need overnight full closures of the eastbound carriageway and some overnight lane closures.

We'll start with overnight lane closures, 9pm to 6am, on Monday 2 June and Tuesday 3 June.

The M4 eastbound carriageway will then be closed from Junction 13 to Junction 12, Wednesday 4 June to Wednesday 20 August, 9pm to 6am, Monday to Friday only.

Traffic will be diverted via A339 and A4, to rejoin the M4 at junction 12.

    Diversion

    • Exit at M4 junction 13
    • Continue on the A339
    • Join A4 London Road
    • Continue onto Bath Road
    • Rejoin the M4 at junction 12

We'll update this page with further dates/details as work progresses and when the schedule is confirmed.
