    June 2024

    M20 between junctions 11 and 12 coastbound - Wednesday pm, 19 June to Saturday am, 22 June 2024

    3 overnight closures from 8pm to 6am.

    Diversions

    Traffic will divert from junction 11 by the A20 (Ashford Road), to junction 12 of the M20.

    July 2024

    M20 junction 13 on and off slip roads (including Castle Hill bridge) - Wednesday pm, 3 July to Saturday am, 6 July 2024

    3 overnight closures between 9pm to 6am.

    Diversions

    Coastbound traffic wishing to exit at junction 13 will be diverted

    • to next junction on the A20
    • onto A260 and then the A259

    Traffic wishing to join the coast bound carriageway at junction 13 will:

    • follow the A259
    • then take the A260 to join the A20.

    London bound traffic wishing to exit at junction 13 will diverted:

    • to junction 12
    • on to B2064 to continue journey

    Cherry Garden Avenue will be closed, but escorted access will be maintained for residents.

    Traffic wishing to join the London bound carriageway at junction 13 will be diverted via A259, A260 to join the A20 London bound.

    2 overnight closures from 9pm to 6am

    Diversion

    Traffic will be diverted via Cherry Garden Avenue and B2064 to join the M20 junction 12 London bound carriageway.

    Overnight closures coming up

    We’re continuing our resurfacing works to the M20 carriageway between junctions 11 to 13.

    We’ll be closing the M20 overnight between junctions 11 and 12 coastbound between the hours of 8pm to 6am from Wednesday 19 June for three nights (Wednesday 19 to Saturday 22 June).

    Diversion route

    Traffic will be diverted from junction 11 via the A20 (Ashford Road), to junction 12 of the M20.

    Monday 22 to Friday 26 April: the coastbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 12 and 13 from 8pm to 6am each night.

    Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 October: no closures due to wet weather forecast

    Work resumes Monday 11 September

    Although we started work on Monday 4 September we've had some cancelled nights this week, so we're resuming next week on 11 September.

    This is where and when we'll be closing the road in the coming weeks:

    11 – 14 September (8pm - 6am) – London bound Junction 12 exit slip closed

    14 – 16 September (8pm - 6am) – London bound carriageway between the entry and exit slips at junction 12 will be closed.

    16 – 18 September (8pm - 6am) – Coastbound carriageway between junctions 11 and 12 closed

    18 – 21 September (8pm - 6am) – Coastbound junction 12 entry and exit slip roads closed

    21 – 22 September (8pm - 6am) – Coastbound carriageway between junction 12 entry and exit slip roads closed

    Work starts in September 2023

    We plan to start work on the evening of Monday 4 September. It will take us up to two months to complete. Below are the closures dates and locations just for September.

    We'll be working overnight, when there is less traffic. During the day, the motorway will be open as usual.

    4 – 9 September (8pm - 6am) – Closed between both roundabouts at Junction 13 (Castle Hill bridge)

    ******Update on 7 September: Tonight's closure has been cancelled******

    11 – 14 September (8pm - 6am) – London bound Junction 12 exit slip closed

    14 – 16 September (8pm - 6am) – London-bound carriageway between the entry and exit slips at junction 12 will be closed.

    16 – 18 September (8pm - 6am) – Coast bound carriageway between junctions 11 and 12 closed

    18 – 21 September (8pm - 6am) – Coast bound junction 12 entry and exit slip roads closed

    21 – 22 September (8pm - 6am) – Coast bound carriageway between junction 12 entry and exit slip roads closed
