Withdrawal of notification of development and route protection order

We have withdrawn the notification of development along with the route protection order for this scheme. We had originally submitted these documents with West Sussex County Council, Arun District Council and South Downs National Park Authority as the local planning authority.

In addition, we have notified the Planning Inspectorate of the scheme withdrawal and requested that the scheme should be removed from all relevant planning registers and related mapping systems.

All of our actions have followed the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s announcement on the 29 July 2024 that the A27 Arundel Bypass would not be taken forward.
