    Next section complete

We’ve finished resurfacing between Coneyburrow Lane and Kites Nest Walk.

We're now working to resurface between Kites Nest Walk and the Little Common Roundabout. There will be times when there are temporary traffic lights on the Little Common Roundabout while we're working, but it will remain open.

We're aiming to complete our work to the west of Little Common Roundabout before the festive break, however, this is subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress.

We continue to work on weeknights only, between 8pm and 6am.

During the closures, a signed diversion will be in place going in both directions via the A22, A271, A269 and A2036.

Please bear in mind that closure dates and times can change. For the most up-to-date information, visit our Daily closures page.

Accessing your property during our work

We’ll be carrying out our work in short sections to maintain access to homes and businesses. An escort will be provided for properties in the area where we’re working, please approach the closure point. There could be a short wait while we make it safe for you to pass.

If you live on the A259 and need regular access overnight, we’d like to know before we start so we can help. This could be due to work, medical or any other reason.

You can get this information to us via this form or by calling our contact centre on 0300 123 5000 (open 24/7), who will pass your details to the team.

There may be times when there are temporary traffic lights on the Little Common Roundabout while we’re working, but it will remain open for traffic travelling north and south at all times.

This will maintain safety and improve the journey for road users, while reducing the need for unplanned closures.
