LED lighting upgrades at M11 junction 8 and A120 fast link exit slip
We're upgrading the lights at M11 junction 8 and on the A120 exit slip to more energy-efficient LED lights to help reduce carbon emissions.
LEDs are much better for the environment, use less energy, and last longer, which means fewer road closures for repairs and safer roads overall.
The work will take about 11 weeks, starting from Monday 23 September to Friday 6 December 2024. We'll be working overnight from 9pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, depending on the weather.
Closures
- Lane closures on the M11 at junction 8 for the LED lighting upgrades.
- The A120 fast link exit slip will be closed for 7 nights, from Thursday 7 November to Friday 15 November 2024.
Diversions
A120 eastbound traffic will be diverted:
- Exit the M11 onto Birchanger roundabout.
- Continue eastbound on the A120 to Priory Wood Roundabout.
