We plan to complete this work over five nights between Monday 6 January and Saturday 11 January 2025. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and apologise for any noise and disturbance caused by our work.

A12 between junctions 11 (Brentwood) and 16 (Stock Road) LED street lighting installations 16 to 20 December 2024
We previously informed you that we would be carrying out LED lighting upgrade surveys along the A12 between junctions 11 and 16.
Based on these surveys, we are pleased to inform you that as part of our efforts to reduce carbon emissions from roadside lighting, we’ll be carrying out street lighting upgrades to LED versions on this section of the A12.
LED lights are better for the environment and use far less energy to produce the same amount of light. They also last longer and require less maintenance, meaning fewer road closures to fix lighting in the future and more importantly, safer roads for everyone.
We plan to carry out these surveys over two phases.
The first phase will be carried out over four nights starting on Monday 16 December 2024 to Friday 20 December 2024.
We will work overnight between 9pm and 5am on weeknights only, weather conditions permitting.
The second phase will be carried out in January 2025. We will notify you about the second phase dates at the appropriate time.
