A27 - Road traffic collision
The A27 in East Sussex is closed westbound between the B2123 (Falmer) and the A23 (Brighton) due to a serious collision which occurred at approximately 02:00am this morning.
Due to the nature of the incident, the road is likely to be closed throughout the day to allow for police collision investigation works to take place.
Traffic is being diverted via local routes at the B2123 junction.
A strategic diversion route is available from the A26 Beddingham junction, please see below:
Road users are advised to follow the hollow triangle diversion route symbol:
- Exit the A27 onto the southbound A26 at Beddingham.
- Follow to the junction with A259 where it will exit the A26 onto the westbound A259 and travel towards Brighton, remaining on the A259 to the junction with the A23.
- At this junction enter the north bound A23 and travel towards the A27 at Patcham to continue journey.
