A14 - Road traffic collision
The A14 in Suffolk is closed eastbound between J44 and J45 due to a collision involving a HGV that has crossed from the westbound carriageway onto the eastbound carriageway causing a significant amount of central reservation damage, the incident occurred shortly before 07:30 this morning.
Lane 2 (of 2) is also closed on the westbound carriageway between J45 and J44.
Recovery services are in attendance with a crane to lift the HGV from the central reservation barrier.
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the Hollow Circle diversion symbol on road signs.
- Exit the A14 at J43 and take the A134 towards Thetford.
- Continue along the A143 until the roundabout with the A143.
- Take the A143 signed towards Diss.
- Continue on the A143 until the roundabout with the A140.
- Take the A140 signed towards Ipswich.
- Continue along the A140 to the re-join the A14 eastbound at J51 Beacon Hill Interchange.
