    Lighting replacement work

We'll be replacing the lights at the Station Road entry and exit slip roads, including the flyover bridges.

LED lights are better for the environment and use far less energy to produce the same amount of light.

They also last longer and require less maintenance, meaning fewer road closures to fix lighting in the future and more importantly, safer roads for everyone.

We'll work over six weeks, starting from Monday 2 February until the end of March 2026. We’ll be working overnight from 8pm to 6am, weather permitting.

    Closures and diversions

    London Road / Wymondham Diversion

    • continue south on the A11
    • take the exit slip road at the next junction
    • turn right onto Norwich Road
    • head north on the A11, where the diversion ends

    A11 northbound Diversion

    • head east along Bunwell Road
    • at the T-junction (Cordwell), turn left onto the B1113 towards Bracon Ash
    • turn left onto Wymondham Road (B1135), which becomes Stanfield Road
    • at the Bromwick Road roundabouts, take the second exit at the first roundabout
    • take the second exit again at the next roundabout to join the A11 northbound, where the diversion ends

    A11 southbound Diversion

    • head east along Bunwell Road
    • at the T-junction (Cordwell), turn left onto the B1113 towards Bracon Ash
    • turn left onto Wymondham Road (B1135), which becomes Stanfield Road
    • at the Bromwick Road roundabout, take the first exit to join the A11 southbound, where the diversion ends

    Spooner Row Diversion

Drivers will need to follow the A11 southbound diversion in reverse as the exit slip road to Station Road will be closed.
