A23 Northbound Closed Between Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common

The A23 northbound is closed between the B2117 at Hurstpierpoint and the B2118 at Sayers Common following a serious collision. The incident occurred at 22:19 last night (16 April).

Sussex Police have completed their investigations at scene. 

National Highways contractors are on scene and the road remains closed at this time for barrier repairs and extensive carriageway clean up works. This includes treating a diesel and oil spillage that occurred as a result of the collision. 

Diversion route

Traffic is being diverted via local routes.
