National Highways is carrying out essential refurbishment works at Salisbury Road Bridge, which carries Salisbury Road over the M27 motorway near Ower Interchange (Junction 2) which is the junction with the A36.

Overview

Works are being carried out in two phases.

Phase one involves:

  • replacing bridge deck joints
  • re-waterproofing
  • and resurfacing the road surface above

Phase two involves:

  • concrete repairs and bearing refurbishment to the underside of the bridge
  • M27 overnight closures taking place Monday to Friday (9pm-6am)

These essential works will extend the life of the bridge, improve safety and ensure the long-term reliability of this important route for drivers, freight operators and local communities.
