A245 improvements
We've improved the A245 along with the Painshill roundabout and Seven Hills Road junction.
Our improvements
We've made the following changes to improve your journeys:
- added a third lane on the A245 westbound approaching Seven Hills Road junction from the roundabout
- created an extra lane for eastbound traffic entering Painshill roundabout
- adjusted traffic lights at Seven Hills Road to optimise traffic flow
- installed new pedestrian crossings at the A3 roundabout southbound entry and northbound exit slip roads
- added a third lane on the A3 northbound exit slip road to Painshill
- added a fourth lane in both directions on the A3 between Painshill junction and the M25
Extra safety improvements
To improve safety, we've changed how you access local facilities by:
- building a new access to Feltonfleet School from Seven Hills Road south and closing the existing access
- providing safer private access roads to some properties directly off the A3
- providing a new route to the site of the former San Domenico / Starbucks restaurant from Seven Hills Road south to Redhill Road. We’ve closed the direct access from the northbound A3
