Protect yourself from doorstep fraud - advice for home owners seeking improvements to driveways

It has come to our attention that some people offering to resurface driveways and other hard standings are claiming to be employees of National Highways.

None of our workforce, including from our supply chain, are engaged in such work on our behalf.

National Highways doesn’t carry out driveway resurfacing. Anyone offering such work in the organisation’s name is doing so without our knowledge or permission.

We are issuing this warning as we are very concerned that the illegal use of our name may encourage people to employ rogue traders and to wrongly believe that, should work not be of a good quality, National Highways would put it right.

To find out more about potential doorstep fraud and see how you can protect yourself and your family members, please see the Action Fraud website.

Don’t say ‘yes’ at the door.
Ask for references.
Get three quotes.

And remember:
National Highways doesn’t carry out driveway resurfacing. Anyone offering such work in the organisation’s name is doing so without our knowledge or permission.
