Members of Hull Access Improvement Group

This week, members of Hull Access Improvement Group (HAIG) returned to the #A63 Castle Street scheme in Hull.

Our contractor Balfour Beatty and the group toured the pedestrian diversion route to experience the journey as customers with various disabilities and specific accessibility needs.

The group visited almost 12 months ago and returned to see if their previous feedback had been addressed. They also experienced the newly opened Porter Street bridge.

The group was pleased with the improvements made along the route.

It was fantastic to hear that the improvements had made a positive impact, and although there were some minor issues we need to address, these were minimal.

A big thank you to all the members who attended.
