Top marks for two major improvement schemes

Our upgrades to improve traffic flows and provide safer journeys for everyone at two busy junctions in the south east have been rated as excellent by the Considerate Constructor Scheme.

Top marks for two major improvement schemes

The projects on the M2 at junction 5 in Kent, and the M25 at junction 28 in Essex, have been rated as excellent by the Considerate Constructor Scheme (CCS) – an independent organisation aimed at raising standards within the construction industry.

Assessors from CCS recently visited both sites and scored them top marks in all three categories – Respect the Community, Care for the Environment and Value the Workforce.

On the M2, the assessor praised our practices across all three sections of the scheme.

Following the rating, our project manager for the M2 scheme, Dan said: “The complexities of building a project of this size cannot be underestimated, and I am delighted that we have been able to achieve a score of 45/45 whilst doing so. It is a reflection of all the hard work the project team have been doing.”

While at junction 28, the team were commended for its “extremely comprehensive” community communication and support arrangements.

Zach, project manager for junction 28, added: “We’re thrilled to have received excellent across the board on our first assessment. It’s not just about getting top scores; these visits also allow us to gain valuable feedback from someone seeing the site and our activities with fresh eyes.”

Both schemes are being delivered working with our construction partner, GRAHAM.
