Over the six-years of construction, the Lower Thames Crossing will provide work for more than 22,000 people - including those employed directly to build the project and thousands more through the supply chain.

There will be a diverse range of job opportunities from engineers, architects and designers to caterers, sign makers and IT support.

We want 45% of our workforce to be from within 20-miles of the project and our target is to raise the skill levels of more than 2,000 people during construction.
