Our Scientific Committee is chaired by Professor Sir Barry Cunliffe CBE and was formed in 2017 following a recommendation from UNESCO.
It includes independent archaeologists with a broad range of expertise and views about the proposed scheme along with experts from Historic England, Wiltshire Council Archaeological Service, English Heritage and the National Trust.
