Allow more time to travel as essential repairs take place on A180

Motorists in North and North East Lincolnshire are advised to allow more time for their journeys as repairs are being carried out on the A180 westbound from 28 May.

Motorists in North and North East Lincolnshire are advised to allow more time for their journeys as repairs are being carried out on the A180 westbound from 28 May.

Essential maintenance work is taking place between Stallingborough, at the A180’s junction with the A1173, and junction 5 of the M180 (Barnetby).

To enable this work to be carried out safely, this section of the westbound carriageway will be closed overnight each night between 28 and 30 May. The closures are due in place each night between 8pm and 6am the following morning.

There will then be two weekend closures for this section of the road. The first will take place from 8pm on 31 May until the morning of 3 June.

This will be followed by a further full weekend closure between 8pm on 7 June and 6am on 10 June, with a further overnight full closure scheduled for 10 June.

A fully signed diversion route will be in place during the closures. To ensure their journeys are as smooth and safe as possible, and to minimise the impact on residents of nearby villages, drivers are also advised to follow the signed diversions – and not rely on their satnavs.

While these works will address issues requiring immediate attention, further works are planned for later in the year. All work is weather dependent and additional contingency dates are in place in case any work needs to be rescheduled.
