A2070 near Ashford: 2 June - 11 July 2025
Work
We'll be working in phases to resurface the A2070 near Ashford. The first phase involves closing the stretch between the Avenue Jacques Faucheux and The Boulevard.
Closures
The road will be closed eastbound only overnight from Monday 2 June until Monday 9 June.
The subsequent phases of work will be:
Tuesday 10 - Friday 13 June: Avenue Jacques Faucheux and The Boulevard (westbound)
Monday 16 - Friday 20 June: The Boulevard to the M20 Link Roundabout (eastbound)
Monday 23 – Friday 26 June: M20 Link Roundabout to The Boulevard (westbound)
Monday 30 – Wednesday 9 July: M20 Link Roundabout to M20 Gyratory (eastbound and westbound)
Thursday 10 – Friday 11 July : A2070 Sevington Link Roundabout (only) closed
Diversion
Traffic will be diverted to
- A2042 from Avenue Jacques to M20 J10 – 10A.
When the Sevington link roundabout is closed traffic will be diverted to A20, then M20 J10 – 10A

Resurfacing between Cloverleaf and M20 J10/10A: 2 June to 11 July 2025
Work
We're carrying out improvement works on the A2070 between Cloverleaf and M20 J10/10A.
The works involve a carriageway resurfacing scheme including loop technology and road marking renewal to improve the condition of the road and to aid the safety of road users.
At the same time as these essential works, we will also carry out horticultural maintenance and litter picking.
Closures
Traffic management will consist of mostly lane closures and full carriageway closures in six phases to safely deliver the works and reduce impact on customers.
Works will be carried out at night from June 2 to July 11 from between 8pm and 6am.

Closure: 2 June – 9 June
- Phase 1 - Ave Jacques Faucheux to The Blvd (eastbound)
Closure: 10 June – 13 June
- Phase 2 - The Blvd to Ave Jacques Faucheux (westbound)
Closure: 16 June – 20 June
- Phase 3 - The Blvd to M20 Link Roundabout (eastbound)
Closure: 23 June – 26 June
- Phase 4 - M20 Link Roundabout to Blvd (westbound)
Closure: 30 June – 9 July
- Phase 5 - M20 Link Roundabout to M20 Giratory (eastbound)

Diversions
Diversions, which have been agreed and approved by Kent County Council:
For Phase 1,2,3 and 4:
Traffic will be diverted to
- A2042 from Avenue Jacques to M20 J10 – 10A.
For Phase 5:
Traffic will be diverted to
- A20, then M20 J10 – 10A
We're keeping disruption to a minimum by working at night when traffic levels are lower. However, our work will generate some noise, so we would like to apologise in advance for any disturbance this may cause you.
The essential improvements will ensure drivers continue to have smooth and reliable journeys on this part of the road network.

A23 northbound off-slip for A281 West Road - 27 May to 6 June 2025
We're performing surveys on the A23 northbound off-slip road for the A281 West Road in Pyecombe, West Sussex.
Closures
A23 northbound lane and northbound A281 off-slip road
Closed overnight (8pm - 6am) on these dates:
- Tuesday 27 May to Friday 30 May
- Monday 2 June to Friday 6 June
Northbound A281 off-slip road closure diversion
- continue on the A23 northbound to the Bolney junction (A272)
- take the A272 Cowford Road west to the junction with the A281 (at Cowford)
- head south on the A281 to Henfield
- stay on the A281 south, back to the A23 at Pyecombe

A23 at Hooley in Surrey - 9 June to 28 June
The A23 Brighton Road will be closed overnight between the Farthing Way roundabout and Glebe Road in Hooley from Monday 9 June through to Saturday 28 June. Between Monday and Thursday the closure will start each evening at 10pm and the road will reopen at 5.30am. On Fridays the closure will start at 11pm and the road will reopen at 6am. There may also be some closures on Saturday and Sunday nights which will be from 10pm to 6am on Saturdays and 10pm to 5.30am on Sundays.

A27 between Patcham Interchange and A27 Lewes Road, maintenance work - 21 March to 6 June 2025
We need to do drainage, barrier replacement and resurfacing works on the A27 between the Patcham Interchange and A27 Lewes Road.
For safety, we'll use:
- day and night time lane closures
- speed restrictions
- overnight closures of the A27.
Works have progressed well and we’re now due to finish ahead of the original published date of 6 June.
To achieve this, we need the following full closure (subject to severe weather) on the A27 between Patcham Interchange and Lewes Road. This is to remove the temporary safety barriers and narrow lane arrangements.
Westbound, full closure:
Thursday 8 May, Friday 9 May, Saturday 10 May (8pm to 6am)
- Lane 2 will remain closed throughout during the daytime, with both lanes available again from 6am Sunday 11 May
Eastbound, full closure:
Sunday 11 May, Monday 12 May, Tuesday 13 May (8pm to 6am)
- Lane 2 will remain closed throughout during the daytime, with both lanes available again from 6am Wednesday 14 May
We also need to resurface lane two of the eastbound carriageway. For safety, the A27 will be closed eastbound between Patcham Interchange and Lewes Road, 8pm on Friday 16 May to 6am on Saturday 17 May.

- A23 into Brighton
- A270 east
- rejoin the A27 at Lewes Road

A27 eastbound at Havant - 23 June to 28 June 2025
Closed eastbound overnight between A27/A3M junction to A3023 Havant/Langstone junction from Monday 23 June to Saturday 28 June.
Diversion
A diversion will be in place by the B2177 Bedhampton Road and the B2149 New Road/Park Road. It is likely to take 10-15 minutes.

A303 near Andover resurfacing works - 2 June to 5 July
There are two remaining overnight closures of the eastbound stretch between the Picket Twenty junction to the A34 Bullington Cross junction.
We will then be closing the eastbound stretch between Barton Stacey and Bullington Cross every weeknight from 9pm until 6am starting Monday 2 June through to the morning of Saturday 5 July.

A31 at Wimborne, Dorset - 9 to 11 June 2025
We're working on the A31 near Henbury at night from Monday 9 June to Wednesday 11 June. The road will be closed in both directions at night between the Roundhouse roundabout to Lake Gates Roundabout

A34 Chieveley roundabout to M40 road markings: 9 June – October 2025
Work
We’re doing maintenance work to renew road markings on the A34 near Chieveley to the M40.
We’ll work weeknights only (9pm to 6am) from Monday 16 June to October 2025, weather permitting.

To work safely, we'll need the following road closures:

- B4030 to join the A41 westbound to join the 40 junction.

- A420 to rejoin the A34 at Botley Interchange.
30 June to 2 July
- A34 northbound Hinskey Hill to Peartree

- A44 to rejoin the A34 at Peartree Roundabout.

Overnight closures near Dartford - starts 27 May 2025
The bridge that carries the B2500 Watling Street, directly above the A282, in Dartford will be closed in both directions each night (10pm to 6am) from Tuesday 27 May until Saturday 31 May and again from Monday 2 June until Saturday 7 June.
Access for residents and businesses on both sides of the bridge will be maintained but it won’t be possible to drive across the bridge during our hours of work. Access will also be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists. Please speak to a member of our team who will pause work where necessary and safely escort you across the bridge.
The bus routes 96 and 428 will be diverted via A296 Princes Road. Some delays are expected during our working hours.

A signed diversion route will be in place via the A296 Princes Road, Princes Road Interchange (A282 junction 1b) and A296 Park Road.
Maintenance on the M1

Motorway boundary fence repairs, M1 junction 1, Hendon - Monday 7 April to July 2025
We're renewing more than 500 metres of motorway boundary fence on the M1 northbound near junction 1 in Hendon, starting 7 April 2025 and finishing in \july 2025.
To minimise disruption, our work will take place overnight, from 9pm to 5.30am, Monday to Friday.
For safety, regular overnight lane closures (9pm to 5:30am) will be in place on the M1 northbound carriageway from April to July 2025. One lane will remain open for northbound traffic.
The link road from the A406 North Circular Road westbound to the M1 northbound will be closed overnight, but access to the M1 will still be available via the Staples Corner Roundabout.
We won’t need any traffic restrictions on the adjacent M1 southbound carriageway to complete this work. The overnight lane closures on the northbound carriageway will be removed by 5.30am each morning ahead of busier daytime use.

M25 junction 2, anticlockwise, Darenth Interchange - 26 April to 18 May 2025
Essential resurfacing starts soon on the M25 anticlockwise carriageway at junction 2, Darenth Interchange in Kent.
For safety, the M25 will be closed anticlockwise, between the slip roads at junction 2:
- 10pm Saturday 26 April until 7am Sunday 27 April 2025
- 10pm Saturday 10 May until 7am Sunday 11 May 2025
- 9pm Saturday 17 May until 9am Sunday 18 May 2025
Diversion
A short diversion will be in place via the junction 2 anticlockwise exit slip road, through the Darenth Interchange roundabout, and back onto the M25, using the junction 2 anticlockwise entry slip road.
