A11 - Norfolk - Road Closed - Between the A134 and B1106

The A11 (Thetford Bypass) remains closed southbound following an earlier collision involving an HGV and an overturned van.

Recovery teams have now arrived on scene, although the operation is expected to be protracted. National Highways contractors are also en route to carry out specialist cleaning of the road surface following a liquid spillage and to implement the necessary traffic management.

The Environment Agency has been notified and is arranging for an inspector to attend the scene to assess any potential environmental impact.

There is currently no estimated time for reopening. Please allow extra time for your journey and expect continued delays.

Diversion Routes

Road users travelling southbound are advised to follow the below diversion which is not symbol led:

• At the roundabout with the A134 take the 1st exit onto the A134 towards Thetford
• Remain on the A134 southbound for approximately 12 miles to Bury St Edmunds and the A14 J43 Roundabout/St Saviours Interchange
• Take the 4th exit to join the A14 westbound and continue to J38 of the A14 to continue your journey
