The M1 in Derbyshire is closed in northbound between J29 for (Chesterfield) and J29A (Bolsover) due to a road traffic collision..

Derbyshire Police are leading the response with National Highways traffic officers assisting with traffic management

Diversion routes: 

Northbound Diversion – Hollow Triangle Symbol
For drivers affected by the northbound closure of the M1 between J29 (Chesterfield) and J29A (Bolsover), follow the hollow triangle diversion symbol:

1. Exit the M1 at Junction 29 and take the 2nd exit off the roundabout onto the A617 westbound towards Chesterfield.
2. At the roundabout Horns Bridge take the 4th exit onto the A61 northbound towards Sheffield.
3. At Brimington roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A619 eastbound towards Barlborough.
4. At Barlborough roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A616
5. Rejoin the M1 at Junction 30.
