A66 - Strong winds

The A66 in County Durham/Cumbria is closed in both directions between the A67 near Bowes and the A685 near Brough due to strong winds associated with Storm Boelo.

Road users travelling across the Pennines today are advised to plan ahead and consider alternate routes such as the A69.

The latest weather forecast can be seen online at www.metoffice.gov.uk

If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.
