A27 Hambrook Hill expansion joints replacement
We’re replacing expansion joints on the Hambrook Hill bridge which goes over the A27 from Broad Road and Cheesemans Lane from Monday 21 September to Friday 2 October 2026.
Bridge closures
Monday 21 September to Friday 25 September
Daytime (6am to 8pm) lane closure and temporary traffic lights on the bridge.
Monday 21 September to Friday 2 October
Full overnight (8pm to 6am) closures on the bridge weeknights only.

The expansion joints on the Hambrook Hill Bridge have reached the end of their serviceable life.
