A34 - Road traffic collision
The A34 in Hampshire has been closed southbound between the A303 Bullington Interchange and the M3 J9 due to a serious collision near Sutton Scotney.
Hampshire Police, South Central Ambulance Service, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue and National Highways all had resources attend the scene.
The northbound carriageway reopened at approximately 0615 this morning. The southbound closure remains in place for ongoing recovery work.
Diversion Routes
Southbound:
- Exit the A34 southbound at the junction with the A303 at Bullington Cross and take the A303 eastbound towards Basingstoke.
- Remain on the A303 for approximately 7 miles to the junction with the M3 and join the M3 eastbound.
- Continue to J7 exit and then take the 4th exit to join the M3 westbound.
- Remain on the M3 for approximately 11 miles to M3 J9 where traffic can continue its journey.
