    Work starts on M2 bridges on 13 May

    We’re working on the bridges that carry Stuppington Road, Wells Lane and Hunt Kennels over the M2 between junctions 5 and 6. We’re replacing expansion joints, waterproofing and resurfacing them. This work will improve safety on these bridges.

    We’re closing the M2 eastbound on Friday 13 May 8pm until Monday 16 May at 6am between junctions 5 and 6. We’ll then be closing the same stretch again on Friday 20 May at 8pm until Monday 23 May 6am.

    All traffic will be diverted south down the A249 to the M20 then on to the A20, A2E and back to the M2 at Junction 6 where the diversion ends.
