What's on - workshops, events and competitions

Upcoming events

As the nation’s leading highways business, we regularly host events to  connect with organisations operating in the infrastructure and  professional services supply chain.

We run face-to-face and online events where we inform, consult and  collaborate with suppliers - discussing sector challenges to find solutions and sharing information about our pipeline of work.

We also exhibit and participate in industry led conferences, exhibitions  and shows where we have the opportunity to talk to suppliers, stakeholders and road users about our work.

Structures Moonshot – 16-17 June 2025

Join us for the National Highways Structures’ Moonshot Conference 2025, where we will present the key outcomes of our ambitious research into advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods for bridge and infrastructure management.

The National Highways Structures’ Moonshot Project, which launched in 2023 through a collaboration with AtkinsRéalis and Jacobs Joint Venture, has rigorously tested over 20 innovative technologies, from Muon Tomography and guided wave testing to advanced sensing technologies. The conference will explore:

  • the latest advancements in NDT for infrastructure inspection
  • the testing methodology, data integration, and evaluation framework
  • the Practitioner’s Toolkit for asset management professionals
  • next steps for deployment on the Strategic Road Network
